What is Good Karmal?
Soft and creamy caramel, Good Karmal is twisted in clear cellophane and wrapped in a “fortune” inscribed with a quote of wise words from sages ranging from Gandhi to Maya Angelou. With this message, we hope to inspire ourselves and others to live their lives with bravery, compassion and in harmony with the Earth.
What are the “fortunes”?
Wrapped around each piece of Good Karmal is a “fortune” imprinted with an inspirational quote. Some are serious, some funny — all are carefully chosen messages meant to stir the soul as much as the caramel excites the taste buds. Here are a few examples:

How big are your caramels?
Each piece is more than a mouthful, weighing approximately ½ oz. From the twisted cellophane’s tip to tip, they are about 3½ inches long.
What are your ingredients?
Good Karmal is all-natural, gluten-free, Kosher-certified caramel wrapped in quotes to inspire. Each melt-in-your-mouth bite is crafted by hand with only the finest ingredients. No artificial flavors, preservatives, or colors are used.
Our ingredients are brown sugar, tapioca syrup, cream, butter, sugar, concentrated whole milk, vanilla, and salt. Our Chocolate Sea Salt flavor contains unsweetened chocolate and sea salt; Café Caramel flavor contains espresso; Sea Salt flavor contains sea salt; and Caramel Apple flavor contains natural fruit flavor. All varieties of Good Karmal caramel are made in a facility that does not process any types of nuts.
Do your products contain nuts?
None of our products contain nuts, and there are no nuts of any kind processed at the manufacturing facility.
What flavors do you offer?
Good Karmal is available in six exceptional, all-natural flavors:
Vanilla − A buttery soft, old-fashioned caramel
Sea Salt − Vanilla caramel with a subtle sea salt finish
Chocolate Sea Salt − Caramel cooked with dark chocolate and a subtle sea salt finish
Caramel Apple − Caramel lightly infused with natural fruit flavor, reminiscent of a caramel apple
Café Caramel − Caramel with a light coffee accent
Can I customize my flavor mix?
We are happy to put together a specific flavor mix for you. Please make a note of your ideal flavor mix in the “Additional Info” section at the end of the ordering process.
How long will my caramels stay fresh?
Our caramels are all natural which means they do not contain artificial ingredients or preservatives. To fully appreciate the quality and flavor, we recommend that you enjoy your Good Karmal within one month and store them in a cool, dry place. Refrigeration will extend freshness, just be sure to allow the caramels to adjust back to room temperature for optimal taste and texture.
Can I send an order via email?
If you feel more comfortable emailing an order, you can send us an email at email@example.com.
Be sure to include:
- Your billing address and contact information
- The product(s) you wish to purchase and the recipient’s name and address
- Gift message(s)
Upon receiving your email, we will contact you to gather your payment information. Please DO NOT send your credit card information via email.
Can I place an order by fax?
Absolutely! You can download our order form. Our fax line is open 24 hours, every day of the week.
Can I send an order in the mail?
You bet! Please fill out our order form and include it with your payment. Checks and money orders should be made out to Good Karmal – be sure to include shipping charges in the total.

Can I call you with my order?
We don’t currently have a staffed customer service line to take phone orders. If you have concerns or issues with placing an order through our website, other options are using our order form. If neither of those work for you, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your order information and phone number and we will be happy to help.
Can you bill my company for corporate orders?
Sure! Please contact us at email@example.com to discuss setting up a company account.
Can I send you my gift list rather than ordering through the website?
Absolutely! The best way to send us a long list of recipients is by using our easy Multiple Shipment spreadsheet. If that is not convenient, you are welcome to send your list by email, fax or mail. Please be sure to double check all of your addresses so your gifts aren’t delayed by shipping errors or omissions.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover through our website, as well as checks and money orders through the mail.
Will I be charged sales tax?
No. We are based in Montana, which does not have a sales tax.
Is Good Karmal available in stores?
Not at this time. We use all natural ingredients without any preservatives, so our caramel tastes best when eaten fresh. Most stores require a longer shelf-life than we prefer, so we have chosen to be the exclusive retailer in order to preserve our high standards of taste.
How do I place a wholesale order for my retail store?
We very much appreciate your interest, but we don’t currently offer Good Karmal for wholesale purchase.
If I want an order delivered at a future date, when should I order?
Order as early as you’d like — we like to plan! You can place your order as soon as you have all the information. We’ll be sure not to cook your caramels until the scheduled ship date.
Can I buy just pieces of caramel without the fancy packaging?
Yes! We have a bulk box of 30 or 60 pieces called Eco Gift Box so customers can refill their boxes and baskets with fresh caramel.
Is there a discount if I order a bunch?
You betcha! We are happy to offer volume discounts, allowing you to save between 5% and 15% on the total order (see chart below). These discounts are on a per-order basis, excluding shipping, and cannot be combined with other discounts. Please note that we require extra lead time to plan for larger orders, so please contact us with the details as early as possible. Additionally, with large orders we can often offer complimentary customization services with enough lead time.

I am sending Good Karmal as a gift. Is pricing information included in the shipment?
Most of our orders are sent as gifts, so we NEVER include any pricing information.
Can you gift wrap my order?
We do not offer gift wrapping services. We strived to design our gifts so that the packaging is the gift wrap.
Will you include my business card in my gifts?
Yes, we’d be happy to include your business card along with any additional materials in the package. We can also keep your cards on file to include each time you place an order.
How do I send a gift to another address?
Our ordering process will guide you through shipping options including sending to a different address than your billing address.
I need to ship to two different addresses. Can I do that in one order?

Can I get a sample before I buy?
We started out with the hope of sending free samples, but after receiving thousands of requests in one night, we had to stop. Not sold on buying? Check out the media praise for Good Karmal.
Will the caramel melt if I order during the summer?
Good Karmal can be sent year-round. Unlike chocolate, our caramel is quite heat resistant and doesn’t show signs of heat exposure beyond softening in texture. Yum!
When will my order ship?
Orders generally leave our facility within 1-2 business days after the order is placed (excluding Saturday, Sunday and holidays). This timing is extended around major holidays. When you select your shipping method, you will be provided various shipping speed options and estimated delivery dates. We will alert you via email if your shipment will be delayed beyond that time for any reason.

Please let us know if you need your Good Karmal to arrive by a certain date. We will do all we can to ship it in time. Alternately, you may specify a delayed shipment when placing an order. We will ensure that your Good Karmal is made fresh and shipped to arrive by your chosen date.
What shipping carrier do you use?
All orders are shipped from our location in Montana via UPS Monday through Friday, with no weekend delivery unless special arrangements are made.
We can ship to P.O. boxes, APO’s and FPO’s using U.S. Priority Mail. Shipping rates are the same, but shipping times may be longer than quoted.
How much will shipping cost and when will my order arrive?
Here are our current estimated delivery times (unless you request a delayed arrival). Please note that UPS delays caused by winter weather can happen.
Standard — estimated arrival around August 4 or 5
Express — estimated arrival on Thursday, July 31
Expedited — estimated arrival on Wednesday, July 30
Priority — estimated arrival on Tuesday, July 29

Please be sure to double-check the shipping address you enter, as we can guarantee delivery only to the addresses we are given. Packages may not make it to their destination because of an invalid or incomplete address. If you are uncertain of the address you are sending to, please click on the USPS Zip Code Lookup link to verify.
How can I track the shipment of my order?
You will receive an email on the day that your order ships from UPS Quantum View (firstname.lastname@example.org). This email will contain the tracking number for the package(s), which you can then use to track delivery at UPS.com. If you are shipping to someone besides yourself, you will also receive an email from UPS on the day of delivery. If for some reason you do not receive a tracking email, please send us an email at email@example.com and we will send you the information.
Can I ship to multiple addresses?
You bet! Our website’s checkout process will prompt you to enter as many recipients and gift messages as you wish.
Can my order be held and shipped at a later date?
Absolutely! We welcome advance orders. To request a future delivery date, please specify the date you would like your order to arrive by during the checkout process. We will ensure that your treats are shipped in time to arrive by your chosen date.
Do you ship to other countries?
We do not routinely process shipments outside the U.S. due to the duties, fees and delays. If an international destination is a critical part of a large order, please send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can UPS leave the package without a signature?
It is always up to the discretion of the driver, but you can add a note to us when placing your order requesting that UPS leaves the package on the first attempt with no signature. If your driver usually leaves your packages without a signature, chances are that he or she will probably leave your package. If your driver usually requires a signature, he or she will probably require a signature with this package as well.
Ordering for the Holidays
How soon should I place my order for the holidays?
It is NEVER TOO EARLY to order. November/December is our busiest time of the year. We suggest organizing your list and contacting us as early as possible. We prioritize orders on a first-come, first-served basis and our holiday schedule fills up quickly!
When should I have my holiday gifts delivered so that the caramels are fresh?
We recommend that you request a delivery date within a few days of when they will be gifted. Our caramels are their most tasty within the first month, so while you can order now, please don’t have your order arrive sooner than needed. We will make sure that your gifts arrive by the date and on the doorstep of your choosing.
Can I send you my gift list rather than ordering through the website?

Can I send you cards to include with my gift?
Sure! If you would like to send us your own holiday cards to include with your gifts, please send them well in advance and let us know when placing your order.
What if I am not satisfied with my purchase?
We take great precautions to ensure that Good Karmal arrives in pristine condition. If you are unsatisfied in any way, please contact us at email@example.com and we will do what we can to make your experience with us a positive one.
What if my order doesn’t arrive?
If your order doesn’t arrive when it was supposed to, please contact us as soon as possible at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you accidentally provided an incorrect address or the gift is refused by the recipient and returned to us, you will be notified by email. We are not able refund your money. If you would like to re-ship, you will have to pay the additional shipment costs. If we put an incorrect address on the package, we will either refund your entire cost or ship a new package at no charge to you.
What will you do with my personal information?
We respect your privacy and take great care to safeguard information in our possession. We guarantee that all information that you provide during the shopping process is encrypted for your protection and will not be shared with any other company or organization, ever.

Can I get a catalog of your products?
We have chosen to forgo a printed catalog. Our entire product line is featured on our website, which means instant gratification for you and a small reprieve for the trees. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Where are you located?
Originally started in a tiny apartment in Hollywood, California, Good Karmal operations are now located beneath the Big Sky of Bozeman, Montana.
